CometJet and Its Current Needs

Lately, there have been a lot of ideas thrown around on Discord. I love seeing people care and share thoughts. But I feel like it’s time to explain where we are as a VA right now, and why some of these ideas won’t happen yet — or at all.
💤 First, let’s be real: CometJet is quiet.
We currently have 19 pilots. Only 11 of them flew at least once in the last 30 days. That’s the core problem. We can add all the aircraft, liveries, and divisions in the world — but none of it matters if people aren’t flying. We've done this before: people asked for the A380, 737MAX, we added it, and now it just sits there unused. So adding more doesn’t fix anything. It just creates more unused content.
📦 What about CometJet Cargo?
We get that some of you want a cargo division. The idea’s cool on paper but that’s not how it works in reality. If the current CometJet isn’t active, creating a second division will just give us two inactive divisions instead of one. It also creates more work, more complexity, more aircraft, more stuff to manage and all for a handful of people who might fly it for a week.
Right now, it’s just not worth it. When CometJet is strong and active again, then we can rethink this idea.
🗨️ About the discussions in chat
Another thing we’ve noticed: sometimes someone brings up an idea and it kinda takes over the whole conversation. Then the chat dies because others don’t want to argue, or they don’t know what to say. That kind of atmosphere discourages people from talking at all and that’s the opposite of what we want here. Let’s keep the vibes chill and the chat open for everyone.
So what does CometJet need right now?
Honestly? Just flying. That’s it. What we need now is for people to actually show up, fly, and keep the community going.
If you’ve got suggestions, I’m always open to hearing them. But please know that not everything will be added, and not everything should be. Thanks to those who are here, who fly, who support CometJet, youre the reason it still exists.
